Review | Rimmel 'ScandalEyes Retro Glam' Mascara

 I bought this mascara about a month ago - I have been meaning to review it as I haven't blogged in over two months (sorry!). Obviously the review didn't happen then, so here we are. I've loved the other ScandalEyes mascaras from Rimmel, and when I bought this one, it was the introductory price of around €4.95. RRP is around €6.95.

I love the brush - it's an '8' shape, and the small end means it's easy to wiggle to the tiny lashes in the corners. Before applying the mascara, I curl my lashes. I apply 1-2 coats of the mascara, and it never gets clumpy for me. It lengthens my lashes, and I find it lasts all day. I had no flaking or smudging, which was amazing. I hate getting home from a long day to find that my mascara has flaked onto my cheeks, but that didn't happen with this. I love how black the mascara is too, it can be made dramatic if needed with loads of coats. The drying time is very good; it doesn't take too long, which is great because you don't find yourself sitting there with your eyes half-open/half-closed waiting for them to dry...

...or is that just me?

I would definitely recommend this mascara, it's so worth the price (about €6.95). I will repurchase when I run out, because it's one of the best mascaras I've tried so far.

Mini Primark haul

I'm sure you all know by now that I'm a sucker for Primark - it's just brilliant! I picked up a few pieces the other day, and I came out a happy shopper. 

These are the bits I purchased... oh, and the clear nail polish is from Boots!

I picked up this beautiful black lace peplum top. I had to get it a couple of sizes bigger than my usual size because my chest is so big. The material is soft, not stiff at all. It's slightly stretchy material too, which is even better. I paid €8 for this! They have them in other colours too; white and a gorgeous royal blue. I think there may have been a coral colour too, but I honestly can't remember. I'm going back tomorrow to get the blue one! Underneath the black lace top, I just wear a black string top. It looks really cute! You could wear different colour tops underneath, but I think the same colour top as the lace works best.

I saw this beautiful dusky pink makeup bag in the sale section for only €3, and I had to have it! It's quite roomy, and for now, I keep it in the bathroom with 'girly' things in it. I love it so much, that I'm going to get another one tomorrow for actual makeup!

I love the 'chunky chain' trend, so I had to pick up this cute bracelet for only €2. I wasn't a huge fan of the necklace, but I might get it if I try it on and decide I like it.

I'm a big lover of cats (I have two!), and I spotted this cute cat ears headband for only €3. The ears have diamantés on them, which makes it even cuter!

I also picked up a pretty blue bathmat and pedestal set in the sale for €2. Perfect, as we needed a new one for our en suite.
