ELF Day To Night Beauty On The Go - Pics, swatches & review

This kit was part of my free mystery bag from day 10 of ELF's 12 Days Of Christmas promotion (including free shipping!) I was so excited to receive it, and love everything I got in it!

Day To Night Beauty On The Go
Love the glittery packaging!

Inside....
2 palettes of eyeshadows, lip glosses and blushes, and 1 compact.

The compact
Sleek, classy & chic, includes a mirror!

Simply click a palette into the compact for a chic, classy, portable makeup palette!

To change palettes, simply pop out the palette in the compact
Simple!

'Day At The Beach' palette
Neutral shadows, with girly glosses and light pink blush

'Night On The Town' palette
Neutral, light and dark shadows, hot pink & red gloss, pink/plum blush

OVERALL:
I LOVE this set! The compact is so handy, easy to just slip into your bag. I'm in love with the sleek packaging! It's perfect if you're looking for a day or night look (hence, the name Day To Night!) The blushes are so pretty and the glosses are so girly! They lasted for ages on me too. The darker shadows are pretty pigmented, so over a base, they really pop (my camera doesn't pick up the full colour, I'm not sure why!) I'm going to do some makeup looks with them soon and upload some pictures, so keep an eye out for that.

I would definitely recommend this palette to anybody really. It retails at €8.50/£7, and it's totally worth it. It saves you lugging loads of different makeup around with you.

ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit (dark) - Pictures & swatches

I love this eyebrow kit! The dark brown is a kind of gel/cream to keep the brows in place and the lighter brown is to set the gel. It comes with a small angled brush, which I think is actually really good!

Studio Eyebrow Kit in Dark

Personal rating (out of 5 stars):
- the brown powder is a tiny bit too light for my eyebrows, but I love this kit all the same!

ELF 6pc Eyeshadow Set (Natural) - Pics, swatches & review

A couple of days ago, I posted about an ELF haul, and promised to post more pictures, and swatches of what I bought! Here they are...

6pc Eyeshadow Set in Natural

As you can see from the swatches, these colours are absolutely perfect if you're just getting into makeup, as the colours are not really 'in your face'. They're perfect for a brown smoky eye, or just a very natural look. The top centre colour is barely there, and I think it's perfect as a highlight! I love this little palette! I've tried the brown (top right) on my eyebrows too, over the gel in my eyebrow kit. Definitely recommend this!

Personal rating (out of 5 stars):

ELF Powder Brush review

I had heard some amazing reviews about this brush and had to try it for myself. My normal powder brush is pretty scratchy, which is awful for my (already dry) skin as I suffer from psoriasis... So I needed a new one! I recently placed an order with ELF and this brush (from the Studio line) was part of my order. I couldn't wait to try it, and luckily, it arrived just as I was about to do my makeup!

This is what the brush looks like:

It has a flat top, and the bristles are soft, yet dense, and give me a perfectly flawless finish to my makeup. I use it with my power foundation to set the liquid. Then, apply my powder blush with a different brush, but if I go a little overboard with the blush, I use this powder brush to blend it out, and buff away harsh edges. It's just amazing, and it only cost €4/£3.50/$3 which is freakin' amazing if you ask me!

I've heard it works wonders with liquid foundation, blush and bronzer too, so I'll have to try it! It hasn't shed yet, and I know it's pretty early to tell if it will or not, but I really don't think it will.

This brush will DEFINITELY be a repurchase for me, maybe I'll buy 2 or 3 next time I place an order with ELF. Definitely one of my favourite brushes ever, and you can't beat the price!

Recent Nail Polish Buys!

I'm an actual nail polish addict -- help!!

My latest nail polish purchases and swatches (on my new nail wheels. Ooh, get me!) and a few words to describe them!

ELF - Chocolate (2 coats)

Classy, versatile.

 L.A. Colors - Lightning (1 coat)

Daring, bright.

Pixi - No. 5 Soft Pink (2 coats)

Perfect barbie pink, girly.

Nails Inc - Tate (1 coat)

Sophisticated, classy.

Essence - Wear Your Little Tutu (2 coats)

Girly, sweet, perfect baby pink.

Nail Of The Day - Hello Kitty & polka dots!

I came across a design similar to this online, and decided to try it myself... I used a baby pink by Essence called Wear Your Little Tutu (not the one from my giveaway; I have my own!) and some beautiful Hello Kitty stickers from eBay. This is what I used altogether:

I hope you like them as much as I do!

Recent random buys

I thought I'd do a little post on some random things I've bought lately!

Soap & Glory Arch De Triumph Shaping & Highlighting Crayon
I've wanted to try this eyebrow crayon for a while now, and I recently picked it up in Boots. I will have a review up soon!

Gloria Jean's Creamy White Hot Cocoa
Best. Hot. Chocolate. Ever. I'm totally addicted to Gloria Jean's white hot chocolate so I picked this up in Gloria Jean's! It's amazing, but not the same as when they make it!

Hello Kitty nail stickers
If you know me, you'll know I am a Hello Kitty fanatic!! I had to buy these nail stickers when I came across them on eBay. 10 sheets for cheap!

Nail wheels
I bought 10 nail wheels from eBay, so I can practice my nail art and now I don't need to use my own nails all the time!

Nail protectors

I came across these on eBay (yes, I'm quite the eBay addict!) You clip them around your finger, paint your nail, close the top down and allow your nails to dry without anything touching them! Perfect for me as I usually go to rub my face with wet nails!

ELF makeup haul & MYSTERY BAG!!!

ELF were having a '12 Days of Christmas' promotion going on (now ended), which involved a new offer every day for 12 days, including, free shipping, free palettes, free beauty clutch, 25% off, etc. Each offer included a minimum spend, which is usually pretty cheap, so I couldn't help myself...

I took advantage of the Day 10 promotion, which was FREE shipping & FREE mystery bag (mystery bag would have a minimum value of £10). I'd read a lot of reviews about the mystery bag and had wanted to try it. The minimum spend was £15/€17.50, which I thought was pretty amazing!

As a treat for working hard on the phone cases I make, I decided to treat myself to a few little bits...

First, here's what I ordered:

I ordered:

6pc Eyeshadow Set in Natural (€4)
Studio Powder Brush (€4)
Lipstick in Classy (€1.70)
Lipstick in Fearless (€1.70)
Lipstick in Gypsy (€1.70)
Lipstick in Sociable (€1.70)
Studio Eyebrow Kit in Dark (€4)

The eyebrow kit is a repurchase; my favourite eyebrow kit EVER, so I had to buy another one just to have! I spent over €17.50 so I qualified for the free shipping and mystery bag when I entered a code.

HERE is my mystery bag... PINK wrapping!

I was so excited to open it, and I was thrilled with what was inside...

Day To Night Beauty On The Go palettes & compact (worth €8.50)
Nail Polish in Chocolate (worth €1.70)
Shimmer Eye Pencil in Plum Passion (worth €1.70)

I love everything, I'm going to do reviews (and more pictures!) VERY soon, so do check back!
